Tokyo Marui Airsoft Guns

The biggest maker of airsoft guns in the world is the giant Tokyo Marui. Operating from Tokyo, Japan, they supply a powerful arsenal of airsoft firearms across Japan and internationally. Tokyo Marui produce gas and spring loaded guns, but are most famous for their unmatched quality of automatic electric guns, or AEGs. Recently the company has successfully moved into the radio control market, manufacturing anything from tiny scale cars, to combining both areas of expertise to make ball bearing firing RC tanks.

Japanese laws have meant that Tokyo Marui must make most of their weaponry from plastic, and as a result some of their strength is lost, but they boast excellent performance. Most of their AEGs fire at 280 feet per second, have high firing rates and are very well built, making them incredibly durable.

Another cool thing about their products is that all of them are replicas of real guns used in modern day warfare. Some of their most popular series are the SIG and MP5, but these are not the only ones.

In terms of what you can get, there are two main types of electric airsoft guns that Tokyo Marui make. The most popular is the automatic electric pistols; AEPs. These fire quickly and at a high speed, and feature more models. However, electric blowbacks, EBBs, are more realistic as when you pull the trigger, the slide blows back like on a real gun. AEPs can't have this feature as there isn't enough room, but the blowback comes at the cost of slower speed BBs.

Fancy a Desert Eagle? Why not get it as a gas blowback pistol. Most of Tokyo Marui's gas pistols are blowback, using the standard propulsion gas. You can even use green gas if you like, but it can limit your gun's life. Bear in mind gas blowbacks when you choose a gun, as they are powerful and realistic, but replacing the gas can be time consuming and expensive.

Or maybe you'd prefer to spray your BBs at the enemy. Tokyo Marui's spring loaded shotguns and grenade launchers are incredibly popular because of their ability to fire bursts of BBs. One of the most sought after shotguns is the SPAS-12, or if it's a grenade launcher you're after then the M203 is very popular.

As for the future, Tokyo Marui have recently announced that they plan to bring out new AEGs and gas powered pistols.
